New shiny!
ooh, don't you love new shiny stuff? today i finally took the plunge and invested in a new phone - the sony ericsson w810i. it's taken me a lot of time and hard thinking and deliberating to decide on this one - i hardly ever phone anyone because i actually don't much like telephones in general, so it seemed kind of mad to spend a couple of hundred pounds on a phone, but on the flip side, i barely use my phone, so it's been a bit irritating to lug about my dying 3- or 4-year-old nokia when it has no use other than to call people. and with battery life at a stupidly low point, it was time to do something about it. so the w810i looks to be a good compromise - good quality mp3 player to which i can attach my own headphones, comes with a 512mb memorystick duo which (with the included adaptor) i can also use in my dsc-v1 camera or to carry files about if i need to, and has a rather nice 2mp camera too. i've yet to play with it properly, but jacques-etienne camembear was happy to pose for a first photo from my little shiny one:
AND i got it for £10 less than i thought and would and now have a spare sim card to lend my parents when they land on our doorstep in a few weeks time. and hey, now people can call me without me needing to gabble at them "you'vegotoneminutebeforethephonedies-bereallyquick!". all good, really :-)
